Privacy and Cookie Policy
NoBoringSuitcases.com B.V. (hereinafter referred to as “we”, “us” or “NoBoringSuitcases”) respects the privacy of visitors to and users of its websites, as well as the privacy of its customers who place orders via our (affiliated) website(s) (hereinafter referred to as “website”). This policy explains what information we collect from you as a customer when you use our websites and how we use and protect this information.
1. Applicability
This Privacy and Cookie Policy applies to every website visit, transaction and every agreement entered into via a website. All information, including your personal data, that we collect about you during your visit and/or use of our website will be treated in accordance with this Policy and the purposes described herein. This Privacy and Cookie Policy does not apply to websites of other companies that contain a link to our website or whose link is on our website.
2. Data we collect
NoBoringSuitcases enables you to create personalised photo products online, such as photos on canvas and photos on wood, and have your order delivered to an address of your choice. In the context of our services, we may collect your data in two ways:
Data provided by you
NoBoringSuitcases collects data provided by you, such as your email address and password when you register as a new customer and create an account. We also collect your order details, such as your name, (delivery and billing) address, telephone number and payment details when you place an order with us (and, if the order is being sent to someone else, the name and address details of the recipient for whom the order is intended), together with the files such as the photos uploaded by you and/or used in or on our products. Your email address is used to send you confirmation of your order. Personal data is also collected when you participate in our competitions or when you give us your opinion, for example by writing a review about our product. In addition to creating an account, we may also collect your email address separately when you subscribe to our newsletter via the website.
Data we collect automatically
NoBoringSuitcases also collects data that we receive based on your use of our services, your visit to our website and any other websites accessible from our website. For example, we collect your IP address and the type of browser you use, as well as the pages you visit, the date and time of your visit or use and how you use our website.
3. How do we use your data?
Your data may be used for the following purposes:
Acceptance, processing and execution of your order
Your data will be used to process, execute, produce and deliver your order to the address you have chosen. We will also use your data to keep you informed of the progress of your order. We will pass on your data to other companies that perform certain services on our behalf.
Examples include: a third party engaged by us to produce your order; a carrier such as DHL to ship and deliver your order; online payment service providers such as MultiSafepay, IDEAL or PayPal to process your (credit card) payment; service providers to send our emails or other forms of customer communication; marketing analysis companies to analyse our data or remove duplicate data from our database; and providing our customer service.
Managing your account
You can create your own account on our website. In this account, we store your name, (delivery and billing) address, telephone number and email address, among other things. We also store information about your previous orders so that you can find, view, share or reorder your products more quickly.
Direct marketing, co-branded offers and sending newsletters
We may use your data for direct marketing purposes to send you commercial information or offers about our products and services via email, direct mail, telephone (including SMS and push notifications) or other media.
This information or offers may also be compiled in a “co-branded” manner in collaboration with a partner or an affiliated company and will then contain products or services from this third party.
You can subscribe to our newsletter, which is sent by email or direct mail. This will keep you informed of special offers and our new or additional products and services. If you no longer wish to receive commercial information such as our newsletter, you can let us know at any time by contacting our customer service department. If this concerns our commercial emails, please click on the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the email.
Reviews and comments
We would love to hear about your experiences with our website and, of course, our products. We use third parties, such as Feedbackcompany, to write customer reviews about NoBoringSuitcases products. If you wish to write a review about our product, Feedbackcompany will collect personal data about you. For an overview of what personal data is collected and how Feedbackcompany handles it, please visit: https://www.feedbackcompany.com/privacy-policy/.
If you give us a review, for example via a third party such as Feedbackcompany, social media or our customer service, we may use such a review (or part thereof) for any purpose, provided that we will not use your review in combination with your name or other personal data. Only with your prior and explicit consent will we further use your review (or part thereof) together with your name (or other personal data) that you have provided to us.
Promotional campaigns and competitions
If you participate in a promotional campaign or competition, we will ask you for your name, address, telephone number or email address, and you may be asked to share other material such as your photos.
We use this information to carry out the promotional campaign or competition, to notify the winner(s) that they have won and, with their consent, to publish the names of the winner(s) on our website, in our newsletter and/or on social media.
Maintenance, statistical analysis and improvement of our services
We constantly strive to improve our services. To this end, we use analytical software from third parties, such as Google Analytics. With this analytical software, we place cookies to keep track of general visitor data and receive reports on how our services are used. In this context, we register website data such as your computer's IP address, the date and time of your visit or use, your browser, which products you have viewed and designed, and which features of the editor you have used.
In addition, we may use your data to ask you if you would like to participate in a non-binding customer or market survey. Sometimes other companies conduct this survey on our behalf. We will then provide these companies with your email address or telephone number, which they must of course also comply with this Privacy and Cookie Policy!
Fraud
We use our customer data to investigate, prevent and combat fraud. If we are requested to provide access to our customer data on the basis of a legal obligation to do so, for example in the context of a criminal investigation, we will comply with this request and pass on the requested data to the relevant authority or investigative body.
Improvement of our customer service
In order to help you quickly with any questions, our customer service uses your details such as your name and order number. Our customer service may take notes during the conversation with you to record why you contacted us and what solution we provided. Such data relating to our customer service is also stored by us. This is useful if you contact us again at a later date. If you contact our customer service by telephone, email or live chat, we may record and store the conversation for quality monitoring and training purposes. This helps us to analyse and improve our customer service.
NoBoringSuitcases may also engage third parties for the purposes set out above, in which case your personal data may be processed as part of your data. These partners or service providers working with us, or any other type of (sub)processor engaged by them, may be located in countries outside the European Union and your data may therefore be transferred to countries outside the European Union. When transferring data to a country that does not have an adequate level of security, NoBoringSuitcases will only transfer the data if the recipient agrees to comply with the EU model contract clauses for the transfer of personal data as included in the European Commission Decision of 5 February 2010 (2010/87/EU) or, in the case of a company based in the United States, the EU-US Privacy Shield regime. We will also store your data in accordance with the applicable statutory retention periods.
4. Transfer to third parties
We will only make your data available to third parties as set out above. This will only be done for purposes as described in this Policy or compatible with it. Our employees and third parties engaged by us are obliged to respect the confidentiality of your data and the content of this Policy. NoBoringSuitcases will only disclose your personal data to third parties if we have obtained your prior consent, are legally obliged to do so or in the event of a merger, acquisition, reorganisation or similar event.
5. Security of your data
NoBoringSuitcases handles your data, which may include personal data, with the utmost care. We have taken various technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against loss or unlawful use.
Every photo product and all images, photos or other uploaded content stored therein are protected by your unique email address and password. Other users cannot view the products you have created and the content stored therein without being in possession of both of these details. We therefore recommend that you choose your password carefully and do not share it with others!
